Terms of use

下書き:このページはまだ弁護士の確認を受けていません。

These terms govern your use of GameLens, run by GameLens (see the Imprint). By using the site you accept them.

1. The service

GameLens shows statistics about games on Steam: player counts, reviews, prices and sales estimates. GameLens is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation; game names and images belong to their owners.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account [owner/lawyer: confirm the age, e.g. 13 in the US].
  • Give a correct email address and keep your password, two-factor codes and passkeys safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Profile; your account data is then erased as described in the privacy policy.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape the site in bulk, get around rate limits or access controls, or put an unreasonable load on our servers.
  • Use of the public API (api.gamelens.dev) is subject to its limits [owner: link API terms if any].
  • Do not use GameLens for anything unlawful, to harm others, or to break into accounts or systems.

We may limit or close access that breaks these rules.

4. Accuracy of the data

Numbers on GameLens come from Steam, IsThereAnyDeal and our own estimates. Estimates (sales, revenue, owners) are approximate and shown as ranges. The service is provided “as is”, without a warranty that the data is complete, correct or up to date. Do not base financial decisions on it alone.

5. Intellectual property

The design, texts, code and the compiled statistics of GameLens belong to GameLens [owner: confirm]. You may view them and quote small parts with a link to GameLens. Data and images from Steam and other sources remain with their owners.

6. Ads and links

GameLens may show ads (Google AdSense) and link to other sites, such as Steam store pages. We are not responsible for the content of other sites.

7. Liability

[Lawyer: limitation of liability. Note that consumers in the EU, and in Germany in particular, keep liability for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health, which cannot be excluded.]

8. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date above shows the current version; for significant changes we will inform registered users by email [owner: confirm].

9. Applicable law and disputes

[Lawyer: governing law and place of jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live stay in force.]

10. Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected].
